Fall 2027 live audition dates are TBA. Recent percussion auditions were held on two weekends in late January and early February in Houston.
远程政策 Remote option: 本科音乐学士打击乐方向目前没有公布常规远程终试。除非谢泼德音乐学院招生办公室书面批准例外，申请人应按赴校现场试奏准备。
NO standard remote final is published for BM percussion. Plan for an on-campus audition unless Shepherd Admissions grants an exception in writing.
IELTS: 莱斯目前接受雅思学术类成绩，国际本科学位申请的规划最低分为 7.0，视中央豁免规则而定。
Rice currently accepts IELTS Academic with a planning minimum of 7.0 for international undergraduate admission, subject to central waiver rules.

试奏曲目 / Audition Repertoire

预筛 / Prescreen

军鼓：30 秒 pp 到 ff 的长滚奏和 Delecluse 练习曲第 1 号，至第 36 小节的正拍为止。
Snare Drum: 30-second pp-to-ff long roll and Delecluse Etude No. 1 through the downbeat of measure 36.
马林巴：从 J.S. 巴赫小提琴、大提琴或鲁特琴组曲/奏鸣曲中任选任何两槌或四槌的乐章；不得重复。
Marimba: any two- or four-mallet movement from a J.S. Bach violin, cello or lute suite/sonata; no repeats.
定音鼓：在调至 A 音的 29 英寸鼓上进行 30 秒滚奏，以及贝多芬第九交响曲第一乐章的指定段落。
Timpani: 30-second roll on the 29-inch drum tuned to A and Beethoven Symphony No. 9, first movement, specified passage.

终试 / Final Audition

Two marimba solos: one contemporary and one Bach; one uses four mallets and the other two mallets.
